Youtube a la vanguardia
Desde su lanzamiento, Youtube ha captado la atención de miles de usuarios ansiosos de ver la enorme cantidad de contenidos que podemos encontrar y compartir dentro del sitio.
A pocos meses de su quinto aniversario, nos presenta su nuevo editor de video online, con el que marca una nueva etapa dentro de su corta vida.
Funciones
Es una herramienta muy básica que te permite hacer modificaciones básicas a los videos que subes así como añadir pequeñas transiciones, cortar y añadir la música que queramos como fondo.El rendimiento es razonablemente bueno y funciona con el típico arrastrar y soltar.
Smartphones
Como mencionábamos, las funciones del editor son muy básicas, lo cual no quiere decir que sea malo. Al contrario te permite editar de manera rápida un video y subirlo en un instante.
Generalmente la gente que está interesada en subir videos después de capturarlos, suele ser aquella que toma video con su celular. En el caso del iPhone , puede utilizarse por ejemplo la aplicación de iMovie, sin embargo esto suele consumir de manera muy rápida el dispositivo móvil. En este sentido, el editor de Youtube es mucho más accesible y te permitirá actuar con mayor rapidez y eficiencia.
Aspectos técnicos
Gran parte del editor esta basado en JavaScript. El player como tal está hecho en Flash, pero los controles y otros elementos son de JavaScript. Lo interesante del editor es que trabaja con un sistema diseñado para que todas las modificaciones que se hagan estén dentro de un mismo servidor.
Las críticas
La mayoría de las críticas se centran en la sencillez, y es justo ahí en donde debemos detenernos, pues el editor no pretende igualarse a ninguno de los programas especialmente para esta tarea, como podría ser Final Cut . El principal objetivo es facilitarle al usuario una herramienta para que pueda hacer sencillos arreglos a los materiales que sube a Youtube, sin necesidad de pasar horas arreglándolo. Es muy intuitivo y permite con un par de clics retocar el vídeo y corregir algunos detalles menores.
