¿Por qué WordPress?
Blogger es uno de los pioneros en la creación de blogs, pero últimamente WordPress ha tomado mucha fuerza gracias a sus interesantes características.
WordPress es una de las mejores opciones para crear un blog en tu propio servidor. Una de sus grandes ventajas es que te permite hacerlo de manera rápida y sencilla.
Es un software de licencia Open Source (código fuente abierto), con la que en pocos pasos y conocimiento básico de programación puedes iniciar tu proyecto.
En el siguiente artículo profundizaremos acerca de esta gran plataforma.
¿Qué necesitas?
Lo primero que tienes que saber es que no necesitas ser un experto en temas de programación, pero si es importante que tengas por lo menos una noción. El sistema incluye un modo de instalación que te será de mucha ayuda.
Por otro lado, requiere de un servidor con soporte de tecnología PHP y datos MySQL.
¿PHP y MySQL?
PHP. es un lenguaje de programación interpretado, diseñado originalmente para la creación de páginas web dinámicas.
MySQL.es un sistema de gestión de base de datos relacional, multihilo y multiusuario con más de seis millones de instalaciones.

Trabaja con Akismet, que protege a tu blog del spam no
Tiene un sistema de estadísticas integrado, con lo que podrás llevar una medición del tráfico de tu blog.
Permite integrar widgets para Facebook, Twitter y Flickr, entre otros.
Algunos consejos
1.Se consigue en http://wordpress-es.sourceforge.net/ y no tiene costo porque la licencia de este software es Open Source (código fuente abierto).
2.Sigue las recomendaciones del W3C y del open source
3.Separa el contenido y el diseño en XHTML y CSS lo que permite modificar de una manera sencilla el estilo del sitio.
4.Permite clasificar los artículos en categorías y subcategorías así como la inclusión de comentarios.
5.Soporta plugins y creación de páginas estáticas a través de la base de datos. Utiliza páginas dinámicas y estáticas.
Finalmente lo importante de WordPress es que nos permite tener un blog con funciones profesionales sin necesidad de hacer una gran inversión.
