Mobile commerce se refiere a las transferencias de un bien o servicio, iniciada o terminada a través de un dispositivo móvil.
Gracias al avance tecnológico se puede tener un gran alcance y penetración de nuestra marca en un móvil.
También los hábitos actuales de estar conectados las 24 horas del día al celular es de mucha ayuda para las empresas, “móvil las 24 horas” es un termino que las compañías deben de tener mucho en cuenta.
Los teléfonos celulares y equipos mobile son dispositivos de:
-Comunicación: voz texto, email
-Conexión: Data
-Transacción: Pagos, cartera electrónica
-Inteligencia: Múltiples acciones
Todos estos son agentes de cambio, así que las marcas se verán forzadas a modificar sus estrategias de publicidad y comunicación hacia los dispositivos móviles.

Las tendencias del Mobile Commerce son de gran importancia, y es vital tenerlos en cuenta para fijar nuestros objetivos y meternos de lleno a esta área.
La venta de smartphones se han incrementado en un 49%, esto durante el primer cuarto del 2010.
Para el 2015 se estima que mundialmente se gastarán 119 billones en compra de bienes y servicios a través de aparatos celulares.

Los atributos principales del valor agregado del m-commerce son los siguientes:

-Personalización
-Localización
Las proyecciones de 5 a 10 años son:
-Las tiendas on y offline serán solo “showrooms”
-Los carriers se convertirán en las futuras compañías de crédito o viceversa
-Dejaremos de buscar ofertas, estas nos encontrarán a nosotros
-Aquellas marcas, productos o servicios que no tengan presencia en el mundo móvil, dejarán de existir.
M-commerce es mucho mas que la compra de bienes a través del celular, los móviles han impactado en la marca en q los usuarios buscan, investigan, ubican y deciden cómo comprar un producto, tanto online como en los puntos de venta.
Incluir y considerar el medio mobile dentro de las estrategias de comercialización de las empresas, garantizará la atención de las empresas a los clientes.
